Last night it was announced that Alexander Chee’s How to Write an Autobiographical Novel won the Publishing Triangle’s Randy Shilts Award for Gay Non-fiction.
Imani Perry won the Judy Grahn Award for Looking for Loraine: The Radiant Radical Life of Loraine Hansbery. The Award for Trans and Gender-Variant Literature went to Ely Shipley for Some Animal. The Edmund White Award for Debut Fiction went to Joseph Cassara’s House of Impossible Beauties. John R. Gordon’s Drapetopia won the Ferro-Grumley Award for LGBTQ fiction.
